Love Letters on Blue Paper: Author directs for The Riksteatre (Touring Theatre) in Oslo.

Whitsun: Author adapts his story 'The Visit' for TV. Never performed.

Lady Othello: Original film script bought by Goldcrest. Never made.

Annie Wobbler: First of cycle of One Woman Plays written for Nichola McAuliffe.

Four Portraits: Second of cycle of One Woman Plays commissioned for Tokyo Festival of One Act Plays premiered at the Mitzukoshi Royal Theatre 2 July. Performed by Michiko Otsuka directed by Tsunetoshi Hirowatari.

Madame Solario: A commissioned film script from anonymously written novel of same name. Never made.

Brighton Belle: An original film script centred around the last journey of a famous train and inspired by the poetry of John Betjman. Never made.

Annie Wobbler: First performed on German radio by Suddeutscher Rundfunk on 3 February under title Annie, Anna, Annabella. Stage premiere directed by author for the Studio of The Birmingham Repertory Theatre 5 July. Transferred to the New End Theatre, Hampstead, London on 26 July.

The Entertainer: Wesker directs John Osborne's play for Theatre Clwyd.

Cinders: A play about brothel-keeper, Cynthia Payne, based on the book about her by novelist, Paul Bailey. Agents refused rights to perform.

Caritas: Directed by Margaret Windham for BBC radio 3.

The Kitchen: First draft of book for a musical, completed 20 May.

Yardsale: Premiered 12 August for Edinburgh fringe festival. Performed by Jeannie Fisher, directed by Eric Standige, designed by Inez Nordel. Three performances by Sheila Steafel (for whom it was written) for the 'Fourth RSC/WH Smith Festival' organised by RSC actors. Directed by author, designed by Jackie Pilfold.

First performed 12 November at Teatre du Rond-Pont, Paris, with Judit Magre, translated and directed by Jean-Michel Ribes. First published in English in 'Englisch Amerikanische Studien' in Munster, FDR. Early draft.

When God Wanted a Son: 3rd draft completed 1st October.

Annie Wobbler: Opened New York 16 October at Westbeth Theatre Centre with Sloane Bosniak, directed by Gerald Chapman. First published in programme of 'teatro festival parma' trans. into Italian by Guido Almansi. 5 - 13 April.

Roots wins GOLDIE award for best play of year in New York. Awarded by The Congress of Jewish Culture.

Four Portraits: London opening 20 October at 'Man in the Moon' Theatre. Anne Chauveau directed by Valerie Colgan, designed by Paul Minter. Transferred to Convent Garden Theatre in Theatre Museum. Published in STAND magazine Nov/Dec.

Mini Autobiography - in three acts and a prologue. Commissioned and published by Gale Research Company, Detroit, USA for a series called CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS. Appeared in their Volume 7. Caritas: Libretto for opera of this play, commissioned by Huddersfield Festival of Contemporary Music. Composer Robert Saxton.

The Mistress. Final play in cycle of One Woman Plays. First draft completed 19 June.

Beorhtel's Hill. Community play commissioned by Towngate Theatre, Basildon via Colway Theatre Trust to commemorate Basildon's 40th birthday. 4th typed draft completed 4th December.
